A piece of New Zealand sporting history

Lancaster Park is without a doubt one of New Zealand’s greatest stadiums. Many Kiwis, and Cantabrians especially, will have lifelong memories sitting in that grandstand watching legendary victories by the All Blacks, Black Caps and Canterbury provincial teams. Following the Christchurch earthquakes however, the decision was made to deconstruct the damaged park.

With the demolition of the park now in full swing, the team from Turners Christchurch have given New Zealanders the opportunity to own a piece of the park by listing 1,000 stadium seats for sale.

For just $30, you can own a set of three folding chairs and be the envy of all your mates.

The stadium seats went up for sale on Tuesday and it wasn’t long before Kiwis around the country were scrambling to get their hands on a set for the man cave, local sports club or living room grandstand. In less than 48 hours the listing has received its fair share of attention, fetching over 4,400 views and selling 300 seats.

The good news is, there are still plenty of seats available but you will want to get in quick so check them out here
