Taranaki man Barry Read listed one of the coolest ride on lawn mowers we've ever seen recently.
The mower was cool, but the cause he was selling it for was even cooler.
Barry's grandniece, Mila, has cerebral palsy and needs an operation in the USA to help her walk. To help with all the expenses Barry turned to his hobby and talent of turning old ride on mowers into beautiful working miniature cars.
Barry's been building these little beauties for years and hoped he could help towards the $11,000 Mila needed.
It turns out his auction could help a lot. It went for $9000 to a bidder in Auckland who was buying for his future father in law and was happy to pay a bit extra for such a good cause.
An awesome auction and a great result.
