Chris Martin, as well as having a famous singing namesake, was a heck of a bowler who held a pretty uneviable batting record.
Chris Martin is a former Black Cap who played 71 tests for New Zealand in cricket but he was famously a poor batsman.
Martin scored the second most ducks (scoring nothing) in test cricket history and he's first equal for the most golden ducks (out on the first ball of an innings).
Luckily for us Chris has a sense of humour about his batting record. He recently created an artwork for charity organisation Parent to Parent to sell on Trade Me. Parent to Parent is a charity supporting families who have children with disabilities.
The painting depicts 36 ducks, Chris' dubious honour and a New Zealand record.
It was a tongue-in-cheek listing for a great cause and we're stoked to see the Trade Me community got behind it. The painting racked up over 1800 views, 60+ watchers and made $765 for Parent to Parent. A great result.
