Save Kiwi Month is here and Kiwis for kiwi have a bunch of ways you can help on and off Trade Me.
Kiwis for kiwi is the country’s national charity dedicated to protecting kiwi. Working in partnership with the Department of Conservation, they raise and distribute funds to kiwi conservation projects across New Zealand, with an aim to see kiwi flourish.
There’s heaps of ways you can get involved this Save Kiwi Month.

Over the past 12 months, Trade Me members have donated nearly $18,000 to Kiwis to kiwi and since 2012 generous Trade Me members have donated more than $130,000 through success fee round ups. Here’s how your contribution could help kiwi:
$50 can help keep predators away - buy and set a trap to keep stoats and ferrets away from precious kiwi
$75 can help keeping eggs and chicks safe - this would purchase vital equipment like chilly bins and transport boxes to make sure they reach their destination safely
$100 can protect one kiwi - could provide predator control over 10 hectares for a whole year - enough to protect a kiwi
$350 can buy a transmitter - keeping track of adult kiwi to find out when they lay an egg is the essential first step of making sure their chicks are hatched in safety
Thank you for joining Kiwis for kiwi in helping to protect our precious national icon.
