The team at Stuff.co.nz had a great idea a while back - pop a GoPro in the Tiger enclosure at Auckland Zoo to get some cool footage for International Tiger Day.
Unfortunately the tigers got hold of the GoPro and it didn't hold up so well. In fact it was completely mangled (see below). But to make the best of a bad camera situation they decided to auction the camera for charity.
Naturally they choose Auckland Zoo's 21st Century Tiger Trust which does all sorts of amazing conservation to reduce tiger poaching and help these awesome creatures.
We were stoked to see a great idea come off the back of a destroyed camera - the auction raised $455 for the Trust.
